I'm a 28 year old indian female to give more context. Anyway I was crying to my mom about my suicidal thoughts coming back and her friend (65 year old) pipes up with I would probably feel better if I found a husband. Like... do you think that's the ultimate fix to everything bad in life?? I explained getting married wouldn't make me NOT suicidal it would just make me suicidal with a husband. It's absolutely astounding to me how little older people actually care about mental health especially if you're a woman. It's like your only purpose in life is to breed and have babies. Sorry for the rant just had to get that off my chest
